Like many in our community, we’re disappointed at the news that the Bank of Scotland is to close what is the last bank in Pitlochry.
We believe that people, particularly those who are older or vulnerable, need access to in-person banking in their local community – we know that not everyone has access to online banking or feels comfortable using digital technology, and not everyone has access to transport to travel to a bank. The closure will also affect many businesses in the area.
PCAT – working alongside other community organisations such as Pitlochry and Moulin Community Council – will do everything we can to ensure that the voices of people who are most affected by this are heard.
