Tay Forest National Park Consultation

The Scottish Government has stated the intention of creating at least one new National Park by Spring 2026. Perth and Kinross Council wants you to help shape its bid for such a park. The opportunity to submit a bid to create a new national park is a rare opportunity to seek international recognition for Highland Perthshire’s outstanding natural beauty and rich cultural and landscape diversity.

There will be an in person drop in session, seeking views on the proposal to submit a bid for National Park status to the Scottish Government. This is the opportunity for the Pitlochry Community to come along and make their views known on this important matter.

If you are interested in the possibility of Pitlochry being part of a new National Park or want to express an opinion about this proposal, come along to the drop-in session to find out more about the Tay Forest National Park.

The drop-in session takes place on the 1st of November, from 4 pm to 7 pm, at Pitlochry High School.

There are other drop-in sessions taking place around Perthshire, as well as an online survey. For more information, go to Perth and Kinross Council’s Tay Forest National Park page.

Please note that this consultation closes on the 1st December 2023.
